Castrol DOT 4 Brake Fluid is a high boiling point synthetic brake fluid.

Castrol DOT 4 Brake Fluid is suitable for use in most passenger cars. It is compatible with all existing natural and synthetic rubber seals and metals used in conventional braking systems. It also possesses good allongé term storage anti-corrosion properties and is miscible with all conventional synthetic brake fluids meeting the SAE specification. The fluid has good anti-vapour lock properties and is specially formulated to meet the requirements of modern high performance braking systems, with the exception of those for which a mineral oil based fluid is specified, e.g. some Citroen systems for which Castrol LHM is approved, and recent Rolls Royce systems for which Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil is approved.
